“The synchronicity phenomenon has been called many things; “meaningful coincidence”, a paranormal event, angel numbers, the universe speaking to us, pseudoscience, and the list goes on. Swiss Psychologist Carl Jung brought the concept of synchronicity to our attention as a phenomenon of energy with noncausal events in his work Synchronicity: An Acausal Connecting Principle (1952). It’s opened up many theoretical debates and while those arguments still go on today, people are still claiming to experiencing synchronicity. You wouldn’t be reading this if you weren’t experiencing it yourself or were at least curious what the “meaning” of it all entails.”
I did start this website to track the progress of my novel series and I nearly forgot that (not gonna lie, I feel I’ve said this before…yikes). I’ll be posting more updates regarding the novel and the side projects I’ll be doing for the sake of the novel (writing articles, blogging, making music, short stories, etc.) more frequently. I think this is the best way to keep myself on track.
The article series on the Hermetic Principles is still going on along with research on past life experiences, auras, and preparing another prose poetry piece on elemental magic. All of it is relevant to the novel. Pouring into those short-term projects and sharing them with you all helps others understand my writing style and build my audience. I’m grateful for all of you, by the way. The support and patience all around the world is really inspiring. I love connecting with other writers and other people who have had these metaphysical or paranormal experiences. With that being said…
I’m going to create a “Contact” page soon so anyone can message me through the website if they like. I’ve had a few messages via Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, which is great, but I want there to be accessibility on the website too in case those of you who visit my page aren’t into social media. I’ll announce when that’s up.
Lastly, I have a worldbuilding idea that will allow me to share it with everyone in the midst of construction without spoiling the novel series. It’s been a dream I’ve put off for too long. So here we go.
More updates soon. Blessings.
Sorry to tell you this, but you don’t know psychics as well as you think. You’ve seen plenty of movies and shows about psychic people and their misadventures, but if all you know about psychic phenomena is from watching that stuff, you’re still in the dark.
Psychic abilities aren’t just visions, dreams, talking to spirits, and self-pity. It’s an intense experience calling out to all in very subtle ways. Perhaps these less-discussed traits of psychic abilities aren’t cool enough for Hollywood, but I think it’s important for us to know what really goes on in the life of a psychic. Let’s go over the famous “clair-” abilities.
What everyone thinks it is: seeing weird things pop up then disappear, zoning out, time traveling, a bad dream means something horrible is going to happen (especially if it keeps popping up), I see dead people and now everyone thinks I’m a freak.
The technical definition: “Sometimes called ‘ESP,’ it is the psychic perception of objects, conditions, situations, or events invisible to most people, including auras, various health indicators, and spirits, as well as things at a distance in space or time,” (Weschke, Slate, 2016)
What clairvoyance really is:
- The subconscious connecting to a future, past, or present event and linking the event to one’s sight
- Visually recognizing the energy of an entity/spirit, which is often a vivid color, shadow, or light
- Visually confirming the energetic presence of an entity/spirit or thing.
- Seeing one’s environment without the constraints of time or barriers in the third dimensional plane
I highly recommend watching the documentary from BBC on photographer Nicolas Bruno, an artist who battles with sleep paralysis and transforms his nightmares into reality. The pieces shown on his Facebook Page and Instagram are absolutely captivating and I think for those of us who have endured sleep paralysis and questioned the mystery around it, you’ll experience an involuntary empathy. When I look at his work, the fear rumbles in my gut. It’s satisfying to see this because, once again, a brave artist reached out about an odd phenomena that many of us link to the supernatural. Now many more of us feel less alone. He’s even willing to contact others who have been through similar experiences.
I wrote an article on sleep paralysis, lucid dreaming, and astral projection as part of my metaphysical research for my upcoming dark science fantasy novel. In the article, I discuss how science and medical studies say one thing about sleep paralysis, but I encourage that we’re not too quick to dismiss the supernatural experience that can mingle with sleep paralysis. After all, lucid dreaming and astral projection have overlapped as well, so what could be happening while your lucid dreaming is still going when you’re awake? In the documentary, Nicolas discusses how his upbringing influenced his view on the supernatural and his sleep paralysis.
One of my favorite elements of Nicolas’s photography is the use of water, which he mentions in the BBC documentary. From a PHLearn interview, he discusses his use of water as psychological symbolism:
“Water, to me, is the unconscious mind or the realm of sleep. Being above the water represents the conscious mind or wakefulness. A lot of my characters are halfway submerged, trapped between the worlds of being asleep or awake. Ominous figures and props protrude from the sleep realm, and the wakeful protagonists within the images generally are tormented or trying to escape. I enjoy depicting the play between the conscious/subconscious mind. The water can also symbolize the suffocating feeling within sleep paralysis, where it almost feels that you are drowning in your own bed.”From “Transforming Nightmares Into Hauntingly Beautiful Works of Art with Nicolas Bruno” by Jennifer Berube, 2018
Please find Nicolas on his social media accounts and support his work. We need this type of art.
I shared my recent lucid dream on Instagram. It was quite fun. I don’t know how I scheduled a lunch date in a dream lol, but I found that interesting. There are quite a few theories about what dreams actually are. Are you going to another world or exploring another timeline? Is it just your imagination or subconscious trying to process old and new information? I wrote about the lucid dreams and how their instances overlap with sleep paralysis and astral projection.
If you’ve had any strange dreams, tell me about them. Also, tell me what you think the purpose of having dreams really is. Your feedback may help me with future writing.Amazon Echo Devices April Sales
