“The synchronicity phenomenon has been called many things; “meaningful coincidence”, a paranormal event, angel numbers, the universe speaking to us, pseudoscience, and the list goes on. Swiss Psychologist Carl Jung brought the concept of synchronicity to our attention as a phenomenon of energy with noncausal events in his work Synchronicity: An Acausal Connecting Principle (1952). It’s opened up many theoretical debates and while those arguments still go on today, people are still claiming to experiencing synchronicity. You wouldn’t be reading this if you weren’t experiencing it yourself or were at least curious what the “meaning” of it all entails.”
I did start this website to track the progress of my novel series and I nearly forgot that (not gonna lie, I feel I’ve said this before…yikes). I’ll be posting more updates regarding the novel and the side projects I’ll be doing for the sake of the novel (writing articles, blogging, making music, short stories, etc.) more frequently. I think this is the best way to keep myself on track.
The article series on the Hermetic Principles is still going on along with research on past life experiences, auras, and preparing another prose poetry piece on elemental magic. All of it is relevant to the novel. Pouring into those short-term projects and sharing them with you all helps others understand my writing style and build my audience. I’m grateful for all of you, by the way. The support and patience all around the world is really inspiring. I love connecting with other writers and other people who have had these metaphysical or paranormal experiences. With that being said…
I’m going to create a “Contact” page soon so anyone can message me through the website if they like. I’ve had a few messages via Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, which is great, but I want there to be accessibility on the website too in case those of you who visit my page aren’t into social media. I’ll announce when that’s up.
Lastly, I have a worldbuilding idea that will allow me to share it with everyone in the midst of construction without spoiling the novel series. It’s been a dream I’ve put off for too long. So here we go.
More updates soon. Blessings.
There’s a great difference between being alone and lonely. When you wake up, you do realize that you’re never really alone, but the loneliness can creep in at times. Loneliness is actually a perception more than it is a fact. Do we all feel lonely sometimes? Definitely. However, I feel the reason why loneliness is a matter of perception is because this feeling only appears when we experience disconnection.
Even with family and friends around, disconnection occurs when it seems like we’re out of harmony with what’s happening around us. Since a lot of what happens to reality mirrors what’s going on within ourselves, disharmony with reality makes us want to disconnect. I recently experienced this disharmony. The best thing I did for myself is sit down and cry, talk to my spirit guides, create music, draw; in other words, I had to express how I felt about the disharmony. Afterwards, the external reality responded with signs and messages. This also helped me gain clarity on my own internal dialogue that at first seemed so repetitive and directionless. That’s what I mean by reality mirroring what’s going on within. If there is disconnection due to disharmony, all we can do is express that.
To manifest the connection and belongingness we long for in life, our expressions for what we need in life need to be loud and true. Some of us express privately, like myself. Some of us need to express it more publicly. Either way is considered loud and true because the universe listens and responds. Even those who don’t feel that the universe is really listening still NEED to express themselves. Their expression is an action that leads to a reaction. That’s the universe speaking, whether they like it or not. Every action parallels, ripples, echoes, and mirrors what’s already there. If we remember that expressing our needs and desires can guide us in life, no matter how directionless we feel in the moment, results will happen.
Change is the only constant, immutable energy that surrounds us. It’s sentience is still being debated by humanity, but I surely believe that energy is listening. You are not alone. The universe listens and responds.
The seven hermetic principles are very important to study in the field of metaphysics, so I’m assigning myself to do a more thorough study of them.
I tried to write about Hermeticism before and it was…just messy haha. So I’m going to follow through with this for my own sake because I’ve been hoping to incorporate these principles in my novel series somehow.
Additionally, I have another literature article in the works. The reference material is going to be The Secret History by Donna Tartt. More on that soon…
The Ritman Library is a masterpiece holding over 25,000 occult texts in its library and now most of those texts are open to the public. Thanks to The Hermetically Open Project initiated by Esther Ritman, founder Joost R. Ritman, and underwritten by Dan Brown, the author of Angles and Demons, The Da Vinci Code, Inferno, and other titles, we have some awesome reading to do.
The texts can be found on Embassy of the Free Mind’s site. Enjoy! I know I will…
A while ago I wrote the article “Six Uncommon Magical Symbols“, but there’s more to Chnoubis than I realized. If you take a chance to read my article, it’s a short list of mystical symbols and a brief description of their meanings and associations.
According to SymbolDictionary.net, Chnoubis is: “an Egyptian Gnostic solar icon, found most often on gnostic gems, and amulets for protection against poison and disease. It is a composite figure with the head of a lion and the body of a serpent, usually with seven rays emanating from the head, sometimes, with the twelve zodiacal signs. Chnoubis is an aspect of the Gnostic Demiurge, Yaldabaoth, and is associated with Abraxas. Images of Chnoubis are most often found inscribed on gnostic gems, small talismans made from semi-precious stone, that date from the first century onward,” (2012).
In my article, I missed key points about this being an Egyptian Gnostic icon and not really a Christian one, which I’ll have fixed in the article soon. I thought Chnoubis may have come from Christian or at least Judeo-Christian belief due to the icon being associated with Yaldabaoth from “the Apocryphon of John and Pistis Sophia and the Gospel of Judas” and Abraxas who, although questionable origins with the Greeks and Egyptians, has been linked to Christianity as well and is known to have had a place in heaven before he fell.
But what’s more interesting about this symbol is the concept of the demiurge. As I said in my article, “serpents were a sign of healing and enlightenment and are often demonized because of their link to Christian mythology’s interpretation of the devil,” (Authentikei 2019). The serpent having the head of a lion can be up to so many interpretations, but the common terms that pop up are “knowledge”, “poison”, and “protection”, which is why we’ll often run into the Judeo-Christian stories about El or Yahweh creating the universe and scolding Adam and Eve. However, we should turn back to Gnosticism regarding this symbol because the Chnoubis being connected to Yaldabaoth from the Apocryphon recognizes this being as an angel and a chaotic creator. Naturally we’ll think of Satan in the Garden of Eden, which I also mentioned. So is Yaldabaoth Yahweh, Satan, both, or neither? Whichever it is, the description of this demiurge only scratches the surface of the underlying meaning of the Chnoubis.
From Gnostic Warrior:
“The important thing to remember with the story of Yaldabaoth is that it (he and she) is an artificially created life form said to be a lion-faced serpent, with its eyes were like lightning fires which flash that was on a throne surrounded by a blood and no one of the immortal ones could see it. He becomes the Archon (Ark-ON or Spark-On) of the human race. The word archon is composed of the words Ark and On. Ark meaning a conduit of energy that is the Hu-Man sacred ark, or ark of the testimony, represents the original spark of divinity and knowledge that gave us Sophia or wisdom.”Gnostic Warrior – Yaldabaoth
I’m not going to write out a whole research paper here, but I just think it’s interesting that this symbol in particular has more to do with life, death, and rebirth (which is how I describe Abraxas) more than anything else. It’s not just a symbol of healing and enlightenment. It’s linked to creation and destruction, a power we often consider belonging to just the divine, but a power we exercise daily. That’s healing and enlightening in itself, I feel. And funny enough, the “archon” or “spark” is a very important concept in my novel. I love how everything comes together. #Synchronicity
If you know more about this symbol or the other symbols in my article, please common.
I have a good foundation to build on…now it’s just time to build.
My mission is to have a platform where we are encouraged to think more critically about life; where we prioritize our personal philosophies, strive for self-fulfillment, and be in harmony with the truth of reality rather than be passive to our self-destructive acts. Art, philosophy, and metaphysics are the foundation for this mission with an emphasis on understanding and mastering the self. After transforming the inner reality, we can change the external reality in honesty, integrity, and accountability.
Authentikei is based on the word authentic and the Japanese character “Kei”, which can mean “blessing”, “wise”, or “respect” depending on how it’s written (Japanese Kanji can have multiple meanings). It’s my artist title to remind myself to strive for authenticity for the sake of respecting myself and always being in a state of mastery. This is what I want to promote through my own creative projects and become influential enough to encourage others to do the same, but, of course, they’re encouraged to be their own authentic self rather than an imitation. More than anything, understanding the truth of one’s uniqueness requires an acceptance for differences in perspective and how those differences may harmonize or clash. So, no false positivity.
I want to encourage a practical acceptance of reality where we act accordingly and not project our actions and thoughts on others thus pressuring them to reach an unreachable expectation. I hope we’ll become more familiar with our mistakes and flaws, give ourselves time to process the difficulties and pangs in life in our own healthy and productive ways. Philosophy and art can help with that more than anything, I feel. Metaphysics gets in the mix of that in particular ways.
So yeah, that’s my goal, or my brand rather. The next step is to keep building and nurturing the seeds I’ve already planted. Let’s see where it goes.
